Why use a web developer when I can use Wix, GoDaddy or Squarespace?

Web developers (website builders) will use different platforms to build their clients websites. It may vary, based on the clients budget, the size of project and the purpose of the website. What they won’t do most of the time is to use templated platforms like Wix, GoDaddy and Squarespace. Simply because they want the flexibility of design for their clients.

The ability to design a bespoke website that delivers exactly want the client wants is the end goal each and every time. Not a website that looks like lots of others and is restricted in its functionality because of the template or the software. The other down side to these sites is that what you think is your website is never yours. If Wix went out of business, you would lose your website. Sites built and hosted by developers usually mean that you not only have access to the site but you own it. You can take it to other website developers or hosting companies and it will always work. That’s peace of mind if you rely on the website for your business.
